QALAT: Talks are underway for the management and reopening of the Badini border port which is located between the country’s southern Zabul province and the neighboring Pakistan to export and import.
The border was opened a few days ago for emergency services, in which hundreds of patients crossed the port to entering Pakistan for medical treatment, Deputy provincial governor Sulaiman Agha Baheer said yesterday.
“The border point has not been officially opened yet, said Baheer adding that the border is only open for emergencies.”
With the reopening of the Badini trade terminal, residents hope to benefit from the trade with Pakistan.
In the meantime, it may take several years to make the trading terminal functional for generating some economic activities.
