Yellow flower festival held in Kapisa, ministry

KABUL: Participated by the acting Minister of Information and Culture Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa, the yellow flower festival has been held in the country’s northeastern province of Kapisa, the ministry said in a statement the other day. The festival was attended by a number of high-ranking government officials and poets, writers, culturists, journalists and university professors, the statement said. Mullah Khairkhwa said that attending such festivals increases hope and destroys the rumors and propaganda of enemies, according to the statement. “Today, Alhamdulillah, a safe and secure atmosphere has been provided for holding such programs and it is the time for our poets and writers to talk about religious values, brotherhood, love and intimacy and the Sharia system for their people,” the state ment quoted Mullah Khairkhwa as saying. Referring to the rumors and propaganda of the biased groups, Khairkhwa said: “Our strength is in our unity. We should not be deceived by the enemies of Islam. If we defeated our enemy in the hot war, now we must stop the enemy’s propaganda in the cold war, which is an intellectual and cultural struggle, and work together for the development of our country.” The Kabul Times
