Worth about $3.8 mln hundreds of development projects implemented in Laghman last year

MEHTARLAM: As many as 243 development projects worth 278.4 million Afghani (some 3.8 million U.S. dollars) have been implemented in the country’s eastern province of Laghman in the past solar year, the provincial Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department said in a statement the other day. The projects encompass the construction and repairing of roads, culverts, washes, bridges, streets, retaining walls, canals, water reservoirs, as well as repairing and cleaning works, have been implemented with the financial support of UNEPS in Alishang and Badpash districts of the province in the last year, the statement said. These projects represent a notable investment in the infrastructure and development of the region, enhancing connectivity, ensuring efficient water management, and improving the overall living conditions of thousands of people in the province.
