Weapons, ammunition handed over to commission in Nangarhar

JALALABAD: A large amount of weapons and ammunitions, have been handed over to the Weapons and Ammunitions Collection Commission of 201th Khalid Bin-e-Walid Army Corps in the country’s eastern province of Nangarhar, a statement from the corps said the other day “In a ceremony, the weapons and ammunitions have been handed over to the commission by local residents of Kama and Goshti districts of Nangarhar province,” the statement said. The relevant officials appreciated the efforts of the commission in collecting the ammunition and military equipment in the province, said the statement. Meantime, the Military Vehicle Collection Commission of the 207th Al-Farooq Army Corps has collected dozens of military vehicles from irresponsible people in the country’s western provinces of Herat, Badghis and Farah, a separate statement from the corps said. The collected vehicles included Ranger, Humvee vehicles which have been transferred to the Army Corps and are to be repaired in the workshops. Recently, in order to strengthen public orders and ensure security, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) has formed military vehicles and equipment collection commission to collect all military vehicles and equipment from irresponsible individuals countrywide. The commissions have collected dozens of military vehicles and equipment from irresponsible individuals in the different provinces of the country so far. The Kabul Times
