“KHOST: Various light and heavy weapons and a huge amount of ammunition have been discovered and seized in the country’s eastern province of Khost, the 203th Mansoury Army Corps of the Ministry of National Defense said in a statement on Saturday. ““The security personnel of the army corps based on an intelligence report, have discovered and seized various weapons and heavy amounts of ammunitions including one 4283 mortar, 183 shells of mortar, one Zq-1, one machine gun with 4228 bullets, 45 shells of RPG-7 and over 170 grenades in Spera district of the provinces,” the statement said.“A few weeks ago, a large number of weapons and huge amounts of ammunition, during various clearance operations, had been discovered, as well as scores of criminal suspects had been arrested in connection with illegally keeping and carrying the weapons in the provinces, the statement added. “The security forces of the Islamic Emirate are seriously working day and night to identify and arrest those who attempt to create public disorders and bring them to the law. “The Kabul Times
