VP Danesh meets Kabul parliamentary candidates

KABUL: Second Vice President Mohammad Sarwar Danesh met with a number of Kabul parliamentary candidates in his office on Thursday, a statement from VP office said yesterday.
According to the statement, the candidates asked government to inaugurate Parliament as soon as the final result of Kabul parliamentary elections announced.
Calling Parliament as the voice of Afghan nation, the second vice president said such voice shouldn’t be silent in such a time, adding based on the law, addressing the electoral complaints were the duties of the electoral commissions and people’s votes should be protected. VP Danesh hoped the final results of parliamentary elections for the remaining provinces to be soon announced, the statement added. The participants said Kabul residents’ votes were destiny making and needed to be preserved, the statement concluded as saying.
