Vienna meeting not in interest of Afghanistan, Mujahid

KABUL: The Spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) Zabihullah Mujahid, on Tuesday, in response to a meeting of a number of former corrupt officials in Vienna said that such a meeting was not in the interest of Afghanistan. Mujahid said that the former officials, who attended the meeting, had no ‘foothold and people support inside the country’ and they should not seek destroying the current Islamic system. “The people of Afghanistan will not be deceived by them again. They are a few number of people who are seeking their personal interests and to protect their personal property,” said Mujahid. He called on the Afghan politicians living abroad not to cause the country to fall into war and warned that the Islamic Emirate will not allow anyone to disturb the security of the country. “As a government and a legal system in Afghanistan, the Islamic Emirate rebukes those who are malicious to the country and hold meetings everywhere with vicious goals,” he said. This is the second meeting of political figures in exile in Vienna, where the participants discussed Afghanistan issues and demanding shares from the Islamic Emirate. This meeting was organized by the Austrian Institute of International Affairs. The Kabul Times
