Uzbek investors call on Deputy PM Beradar

KABUL: A number of Uzbek investors in a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund, said that they want to invest in various sectors in Afghanistan, Arg said in a statement Monday. “We are seeking investment in extraction, standard processing, coal-based electricity production, standard oil well drilling, construc tion of cement factory as well as standard extraction and salt production, textile factory construction and e-governance in Afghanistan,” the statement quoted Uzbek investors as saying. According to the statement, they said that Afghanistan is a suitable place for investment. Meanwhile, Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar, thanked the Uzbek investors for their readiness to invest in Afghanistan and assured them that the relevant ministries and departments would cooperate in their respective sectors. After the establishment of the Islamic Emirate and the provision of nationwide security in the country, the interest of foreign investors to invest in various sectors of the country has increased.
