UNICEF provides medicines, health equipment for Uruzgan’s health facilities

TIRINKOT: The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) has provided medicines and medical equipment worth 500,000 U.S. dollars to health facilities of the country’s southern province of Uruzgan, the organization said in a statement the other day. UNICEF donated 20 types of medicines and medical equipment to health facilities in Chinaratu, Gezab and Khas Uruzgan districts of the province, the statement said, adding that medical aid would address health problems of thousands of people in the prov ince. Meanwhile, head of the UNICEF Francis Busiku Butichi said that we donated the medicines and equipment to three clinics and we’re committed to cooperating in the health sector in the province. Also, the provincial Deputy Governor Mullah Bari Gul said some health problems of residents will be solved with the aid and asked other aid organizations to provide more assistance to health facilities to address health challenges facing the people across the province.
