UN raises America’s demands

Each time they warn that they will hold more sessions to select a special representative in the future, we wonder what America wants because the security problem in Afghanistan has been resolved and the country has better security compared to 45 years ago.

It is not the first time that the secretary–general of the United Nations held a meeting to select a representative for Afghanistan secretly or apparently. Indeed, the selection of a representative to Afghanistan is America’s demand, which has always been raised from the throat of the UN’s secretary–general. If such demands are truly raised by the United Nations, then it proves the incompetence and powerlessness of the United Nations in resolving the conflict between Hamas and the Jewish State, in which more than 30 thousand men, women, children, and elderly have been martyred and about sixty thousand other injured so far, showing that the organization is truly incompetent. If such demand is related to the United Nations, then it proves that the UN since it has been determined that they do not have the executive authority to implement their decisions and nobody listens to them, nobody accepts them to choose a special representative for Afghanistan. However, the mission of a special representative is not favorable for our country because the organization has another independent office in Afghanistan called UNAMA, which can fully represent the goals of the United Nations. However, the selection of a representative indicates that UNAMA is not successful in fulfilling its duties in Afghanistan. If the United Nations truly feels the need for another special representative for Afghanistan, then China and Russia, which already vetoed the UN Charter, have rejected this request and considered the selection of a repre sentative for Afghanistan as unnecessary. Each time they warn that they will hold more sessions to select a special representative in the future, we wonder what America wants because the security problem in Afghanistan has been resolved and the country has better security compared to 45 years ago. And if they intend to have more interference in Afghanistan’s internal affairs according to their desires, their interference in the past centuries has brought them no benefit but international shame. In Afghanistan, there is no need for a special representative, and as usual, a special representative should be appointed for countries experiencing conflict, violence, turmoil, and unrest. Currently, there is no conflict in Afghanistan; there is better security, which has been the hope and aspiration of Afghans for years. If someone considers the current security in Afghanistan as oppression, it becomes clear that they have other motives or they intend to drown Afghanistan in corruption akin to the past. The mission of the special representative in Afghanistan is not successful because Afghans never accept foreigners to interfere with their internal affairs. During the Soviet occupation, United Nations representatives such as Benon Sevan and Lakhdar Brahimi worked very hard, and exhausted themselves, but no result was achieved for peace between Russia and Afghans, so the experience of special representatives in Afghanistan has failed because has not yielded any positive results in the past. It is better to maintain relations with Afghanistan through diplomatic interaction rather than through repeated administrative formalities because there is no need for a special representative in Afghanistan. If there is more insistence on this matter, it means that America is muddying the waters for other purposes. Mashal Noori
