Two military choppers repaired, MoD

KABUL: The engineering team of the Afghan Air Forces has repaired two helicopters, which are now ready to fly, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) said in a statement the other day. Two Russian M-17 helicopters and an American Black Hawk helicopter have been repaired by the technical and engineering teams of the Air Force, according to the statement. The statement said that it has successfully completed its test-flights. Appreciating the efforts of technical teams and engineers the Afghan Air Force’s commander, Mawlavi Abdul Ghafar Mohammadi, pledged to repair the remaining aircrafts, the statement quoted. Earlier, the Afghan Air Force repaired more than 60 helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft that were rendered unusable by technical issues. The Kabul Times
