Turkmen delegation to sign trade agreement in Herat

It is worth noting that representatives of Afghanistan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan
had previously reached an agreement to establish a logistics center in the western part
of Afghanistan.

HERAT: Leading a high-ranking trade and economic delegation chairman of Turkmenistan’s Union of Industrialists and Entre preneurs, Nokerguly Atagulyev, arrived in Herat Saturday to sign trade agreements with Afghanistan, provincial officials confirmed. The provincial Director of Herat’s Industry and Commerce Bashir Mohammad Sirat said that the delegation’s agenda includes discussions on signing the reinforcing steel bar Sikh Gul agreement, fostering bilateral trade relations, engaging with the private sector, exploring Afghanistan’s commercial areas, and investigating proposals from the Afghan side regarding the export of construction materials, particularly marble, to Turkmenistan. One of the main aims of the Turkmen delegation trip to Herat is to facilitate trade balance, sign memorandums of understanding in various fields, and promote trade development between the two countries. It is worth noting that representatives of Afghanistan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan had previously reached an agreement to establish a logistics center in the western part of Afghanistan.
