Turkish surgeons in Kabul, to perform pediatric urology surgeries, ministry

KABUL: A team of Turkish surgeons has arrived in Kabul to jointly perform sophisticated pediatric urology surgeries with doctors of Atatürk Children’s National and Specialized Hospital, the Ministry of Public Health said in a statement the other day. The Turkish surgeons will perform free operations on children with complicated urology problems, the statement said, adding that the Afghan surgeons will also be trained by the Turkish doctors. The Health Services Deputy Minister of Public Health, Mawlavi Abdul Wali Haqqani expressed pleasure and appreciated the cooperation of Turkish doctors in performing their operations on children and said: “We are all Muslims and we sincerely serve all Muslims, especially children, within the framework of the Islamic religion which is of particular importance in Islam.” He added that today’s children are the future builders of the country and this is one of our obligations to provide better and quality health services for them and all the people of the country, and the efforts are continuing in the ground.
