Turkish investors seeking investment in Afghanistan

KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, in a meeting, with the President of the Arifan Organization of Turkiye, Umar Farooq Madras Oglu, and a number of scholars and businessmen of that country, said that the Is lamic Emirate has paved the ground for investment in the country, according to a statement from Arg on sunday. Addressing the meeting, Umar Farooq Madras Oglu expressed his keen interest in investing in Afghanistan’s energy, communication, mining, logistics, and reconstruction sectors, the statement said. Welcoming them, Hanafi said that the Islamic Emirate has been successful in implementing major economic projects and paving the ground for investment in the country, the statement added. “The Islamic Emirate has always been committed to developing Afghanistan’s infrastructure, taking advantage of the economic opportunities at hand. The IEA seeks the cooperation of both domestic and foreign investors in this endeavor,” the statement quoted Hanafi as saying. The Kabul Times
