KABUL: Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, in a meeting with Turkish Ambassador to Kabul Cihad Erginay discussed issues of mutual interests, a statement from the ministry said Wednesday.
In the meeting ambassador Cihad said that the Afghan-Turk relations were on a positive trajectory, Turkey has provided major humanitarian aid and will continue the same, adding that Turkish traders are being encouraged to invest in Afghanistan and that Turkey was seeking broadened relations.
Minister Muttaqi thanked the Turkish government for its humanitarian aid, assuring that the Islamic Emirate would facilitate Turkish traders to invest in Afghanistan, adding that the positive relations between the Afghan and Turkish governments were beneficial for both countries.
The minister and the Turkish ambassador also exchanged views on political issues, stressing the continuation of bilateral cooperation, according to the statement.
