KABUL: A truck carrying food items caught fire early Saturday morning on the Salang highway, official confirmed the other day.
“At around 10:30 am. Saturday, a truck that was transporting food from north of the country to the south caught fire due to technical problems in Pol-e-Deh Naw area of Salang district, Sefatullah Yaser, spokesman for the 313th brigade based in Parwan province said as quoted by Bakhtar News Agency.
According to Salang Pass maintenance officials, no one sustained injuries in the incident.
