KABUL: Officials from Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirate , held a trilateral meeting to discuss trade, transit, railway development and connecting of South and Central Asia, here at the Kabul International Airport, the state-run Bakhter news agency reported on Saturday. The meeting was attended by the Acting Mines and Petroleum Minister Shaikh Shahabuddin Delawar, the Acting Transport and Civil Aviation Minister Mullah Hamedullah Akhundzada and the General Director of Afghanistan Railway Authority Bakhturrahman Sharafat, and the Transport Minister of Uzbekistan Ilhom Mahkamov, as well as a high ranking delegation of the United Arab Emirate, the statement said. A few weeks ago, a high-ranking Uzbek delegation had also traveled to Afghanistan and visited the Torkham port and sometransit routes of the country, according to the statement.
