Traditions, culture would further develop, Mujahid

KANDAHAR: A delegation led by Deputy Information and Culture Minister for Publication Affairs and IEA’s spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid visited Kandahar province, the provincial department of information and culture said in a statement the other day.

Deputy Finance and Administrative Minister Mawalvi Atiqullah Azizi and Deputy to the Youth Affairs Minister Mullah Faizullah are part of the visiting delegation to the province, the statement said.

The delegation met with the officials of the provincial department of information and culture, public library and the national museum and heard their suggestions for further improvement of the related affairs, the statement, received by The Kabul Times said.

Mujahid said there was a need for building the youth mind, as the past 20 years of occupation badly affected their minds.

“Efforts would be made for the development of the country’s tradition and culture as linguistic, ethnic discrimination have now ended,” the deputy Information and Culture Minister reiterated as quoted by the statement.

According to the source, the delegation pledged to address their problems duly, as they vowed to preserve the historical monuments and ancient objects, according to the statement.
