Township to be built for orphans in Helmand, ministry

KABUL: Based on the decree of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) Shaikh Hibatullah Akhundzada, a detailed plan for hundreds of orphans in southern Helmand province, has been approved by the Min istry of Urban Development and Housing, the ministry said in a statement on Saturday. The modern residential township on 272 acres of land, with all living facilities for 500 orphaned children will be built by the charitable foundation of the Qatari royal family in the Nahr-e-Saraj district of Helmand province, the statement said. According to the statement, all other activities of the township will be carried out under the supervision of the ministry. The Kabul Times
