Tourists to be provided with more facilities in Bamyan: Minister

KABUL: Acting Minister of Information and Culture of the Islamic Emirate Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa, met with the newly appointed Director of Information and Culture of Bamayn Mawlavi Safiullah Raeed, the ministry said in a statement Monday. Minister Khairkhwa said that further attention will be paid to maintaining historical monuments and cultural values and providingv facilities for tourists visiting the historical monuments and natural attractions of the province, according to the statement. Pointing to the location and importance of Bamyan, Khairkhwa called it an ancient province and said that he has chosen the province for developing and reforming the affairs, the statement added. “Two hotels will be constructed in Band-e-Amir as well as tourists will be provided with tourist facilities in the province,” the statement quoted Khairkhwa as saying. Meanwhile, Mawlavi Safiullah assured that he will do his best to protect historical monuments and provide the tourists with any necessary touristic facilities, the statement further added.
