Tourism industry plays key role in economic development, Khairkhwa

KABUL: The Acting Minister of Information and Culture of the Islamic Emirate Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa during his trip to the country’s northern province of Parwan, has visited the Jabal Saraj Palace, the ministry said in a statement on Sunday. Minister Khairkhwa also during a meeting with the provincial Governor Mawlavi Obaidullah Aminzada and a number of local officials said that the tourist industry has a significant role in the economic development of the countries, according to the statement. “Hotels will be built and tourist facilities will be also provided in the historical sites to attract more foreign and domestic tourists,” the statement quoted by Mullah Khairkhwa. Pointing to the further attraction of the tourist, Kharkhwa added that in the tourism industry, the native and authentic culture of the region and the historicalnatural resources should be protected and managed in such a way that they can satisfy the tourists and encourage them to revisit the historical sites and natural attractions, the statement added. The minister according to the statement, went on as saying that achieving the development of the tourism industry in a city or a country requires a logical solution along with active management and useful planning; therefore, the Islamic Emirate is making efforts to work on some new mechanism and plans to attract further tourists. Assuring sure security in the province, Mawlavi Aminzada said that all officials are at the service of domestic and foreign tourists, the statement further added. The Kabul Times
