Tourism and Hospitality Institute reopened

KABUL: The Acting Minister of Information and Culture Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa, in a ceremony, reopened the Tourism and Hospitality Institute for students, the ministry said in a statement the other day. During the re-opening of the institute, Mullah Khairkhwa said that after years of continued war and insecurity in Afghanistan, under the leadership of a strong central Islamic government, countrywide security has been established in the country, according to the statement. Minister Khairkhwa said the reactivation of the institute shows the commitment of his-led ministry in growing the tourism industry, hosting and attracting tourists from various countries of the world. “Hospitality and tradition of Afghans will attract tourists from various countries of the world and the foreign tourists will be provided with all necessary services by the relevant officials of the Islamic Emirate countrywide,” the statement quoted Khairkhwa as saying. The minister according to the statement, went on as saying that those who introduce Afghanistan to the international community as unsafe and dangerous for their personal interests will not achieve their goals. It is worth mentioning that the Institute of Tourism and Hospitality was established in 1391. Tourism and hospitality offer significant growth and job opportunities worldwide. The industry’s increasing demand for personnel contributes to economic and employment growth, particularly in developing countries. The industry employs millions globally, from entry-level to high-level management positions, including hotel managers, chefs, tour operators, travel agents, and executives.
