Thousands of tourists visit natural attractions of Kapisa

MAHMOODRAQI: A total of 20,000 foreign and domestic tourists have visited the natural attractions and recreational sites of the country’s central province of Kapisa, the provincial Information and Culture Department said in a statement the other day. Culture and Tourism Officer of the Provincial Information and Culture Department Nasratullah Nasrat said that 20,000 foreign and domestic tourists including women and children have visited the natural attractions and recreational sites of the province in the past two months of the current solar year, according to the statement. He added that construction of a standard hotel for tourists has been started in the province. “We proposed to the ministry to have a standard hotel or at least a place for accommodation so that when tourists come, they can leave their luggage and move towards any district they wish to visit, fortunately, construction work on a hotel for tourists has been started in the province and it will be completed soon,” the statement quoted Nasratullah Nasrat as saying. Kapisa is a scenic province adjacent to Kabul and attracts a high number of visitors from across the country and the world in the spring season. According to officials, Sayad National Park, Regrawan (the flowing sand), and the scenic areas in Tagab district are among the places most visited by tourists. With the resumption of power by the Islamic Emirate in mid-August 2021, overall security has been ensured in the country and resulted in an increase in the number of tourists visiting the country’s historical sites and natural attractions.
