Thousands of tons of fresh grapes exported from Kandahar to world markets

KANDAHAR: Tens of thousands of tons of fresh grapes worth over 15 million U.S. dollars have been exported to the world markets in the past months of the current solar year, the provincial Commerce and Industry Department said in a statement on Saturday. Press Office Director of the provincial commerce and industry department Norullah Noori said 28,300 tons of fresh grapes have been exported to Pakistan and India within the past months of the current solar year, according to the statement. “Grape yields have been increased compared to the previous year and the grape export process was underway to the world markets,” the statement quoted Noori as saying.
