KABUL: More than 56,000 metric tons of commodities have been traded via the country’s railways in the past one week, the Afghanistan Railway Authorities said in a statement Saturday. “Around 44,957 metric tons of exports and imports have been made via Hairatan-Mazar-i-Sharif railway, 10,753 metric tons of commodities have been made via Aqina railway and the rest has been made via Torghundi and Khawaf railways,” the statement said. Tens of thousands of metric tons of commodities had so far been traded via the country’s railways in the past months of the current fiscal year.
