Those who misuse language, pen not in interest of people, Islamic Emirate, Khairkhwa

KABUL: The Acting Information and Culture Minister Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa, during the ending of a three-day seminar under the theme of “background, progress, challenges and solutions for newspapers and national languages”, said those who are misusing language and pen are not in the interest of the people and the Islamic Emirate, according to a statement from the ministry Wednesday. Asking the media officials to observe Islamic principles and the Islamic Emirate’s policy in their publications, Khairkhwa said with the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate in the country, ethnic, sectarian and religious differences have ended and all the people of the country live in an atmosphere of unity and integrity, according to the statement. “All media should consider Islamic rules, media principles, the policy of the Islamic Emirate, respect, national unity and the national interests of the country in their publications and writings,” the statement quoted Khairkhwa as saying. Referring to the importance of Newspapers, the Director of Government Dailies Mawlavi Mohammad Ibrahim Nabeel said they are the backbone of all domestic media and the government should make efforts to address challenges facing newspapers and provide them will all necessary facilities. “It seems that the media has not taken necessary steps towards its real goals, to be able to influence public opinion by publishing the facts and it is necessary not to go after the slogans spread by outsiders in the media because they use the slogans to achieve their goals,” the statement quoted Nabeel as saying.
