Third round of Afghanistan Champions League kicks off in Kabul

KABUL: The third round of the Afghanistan Champions League began on Saturday, in the capital Kabul, the Afghanistan Football Federation said in a statement the other day. The competitions started at 2:00 pm on Saturday between the teams of Abu Muslim Farahi and Sar Sabs Yashler Faryab, the statement said, adding after the two teams, the teams of Khafi Herat and Khorasan Faryab faced each other. The matches are screened and streamed live and exclusively by Ariana Television Network. The draw will also be streamed live on Ariana Sport’s Facebook page and YouTube channel. Last week, Ariana Television Network (ATN) announced it will produce and broadcast the third season of the ACL live, legally and exclusively. Twelve teams including Istiqlal Kabul FC, Khurasan Faryab FC, Sorkh Poshan Khafi, AbuMuslim Farah FC, Jawanan Wahedi FC, Khadim FC, Maiwand FC, Aino Mina FC, Mawj Sahil FC, Attack Energy FC, Adalat Farah FC, Sarsabz Yashlar FC. The Afghanistan Champions League is a professional men’s football league run by the Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF). It is the country’s primary competition for the sport. The competition commenced in 2021. The league is currently contested by twelve teams. The national champion qualifies for the continental competition, AFC Challenge League. The Kabul Times
