KABUL: Deputy Prime Minister on Political affairs, Mawlavi Abdul Kabir chaired the Cabinet political commission meeting on Wednesday, a statement from Arg said.
Various issues were discussed and the Deputy Prime Minister, said that tension between Afghanistan and neighboring countries should be addressed through diplomatic channels, the statement said.
The members of the commission stressed that borders tensions are not in the interest of anyone, efforts should be done in accordance with mutual respect and good neighborhood, according to the statement.
Meanwhile, tensions between Afghanistan and neighboring countries raised recently, after arresting and torturing of Afghan refugees in Iran and the Pakistan’s airstrikes on Khost and Kunar Provinces that caused strong reaction from the Islamic Emirate.
Spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Zabihullah Mujahid said: “Pakistan should not test the patience of Afghans on such issues and not repeat the same mistake again or it will have bad consequences”, according to the statement.
