KANDAHAR: Tens of tons of dried figs worth 16 million U.S. dollars and over 15,000 tons of fresh grapes have been exported from Kandahar to some foreign countries over the past one month, the provincial Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock Department said in a statement Saturday. “The yields of grapes and figs have significantly been increased in the province comparing to the previous years, as dozens of tons of figs and fresh grapes worth millions of U.S. dollars have so far been exported to the foreign countries,” the statement said.
