Tens of thousands of surgical operations freely carried out in Wazir Akbar Khan Hospital last year, ministry

KABUL: As many as 49,000 surgical operations have freely been carried out by the doctors of Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Hospital in the last year, the Ministry of Public Health said in a statement on Tuesday. Also, 234,000 people have freely been provided with outpatient services (OPD), 105,570 people have been provided with orthopedic services and 14,000 individuals have also been provided with inpatient services (IPD) by the hospital in the last year, the statement said. A few days ago, the ministry also announced the provision of free surgical operations by Ibn Sina Hospital for nearly 10,000 people in the last year. With the establishment of the Islamic Emirate, alongside significant achievements in the economic and reconstruction fields, necessary attention has been paid and considerable accomplishments have been made in the health sector of the country.
