Ten historical relics returned to National Museum: Ministry Of Information and Culture

KABUL: Ten historical relics related to the Mawlana Mirza Shah Akhgar in the country’s northern province of Badakhshan, have been returned to the National Museum, the Ministry of Information and Culture said in a statement Tuesday. “The relics included a copy of the Holy Quran and a handbag which have been discovered in the Khawja Khan area of the Jurm district of the Badakhshan province and dated back to 100 years,” the statement quoted a research member of the Historical Sites and Antiquities Research Committee of the ministry Engineer Hamidullah Muzafari as saying. Based on the research of the ministry, the Mir Ghiasud dind’s worshiping house which was at the verge of destruction and dated back to 300 years has also been discovered and registered with the National Museum, the statement said. Furthermore, a tree [Chunar] that had been planted by the Mir Sayed Hamadani in the Jurm district which dated back to 800 years, after research will be registered with the National Museum, the statement added.
