KABUL: Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Shaikh-ul- Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, met with Muhammad Murad Amanov, executive director of the TAPI gas pipline project and Hoja Ovezov , the ambassador of Turkmenistan in Kabul, a statement said the other day.
“TAPI project is one of the major economic and social projects, said Minister Delawar adding that by the implementation of the project in Afghanistan, more work opportunities and investments will be created in the country.
As Afghanistan is in a good security situation, we should use this opportunity and start the practical work of the TAPI project as soon as possible with the cooperation of both countries (Afghanistan and Turkmenistan).
Also, Muhammad Murad Amanov, the executive director of the TAPI project, also spoke about the plans and progress of the TAPI project and said that Turkmenistan is trying to start the practical work of the TAPI project quickly and will share the work plan with Afghanistan in the near future.
He also said that with the cooperation of Turkmenistan, he will present a specific plan regarding the construction of gas distribution reserves in Herat.
