State-owned Bakhtar oil plant resumes operation after decades in Balkh

MAZR-I-SHARIF: The State-Owned Bakhtar oil-producing factory, which was damaged for a decade, has recently been reconstructed and reactivated in the country’s northern province of Balkh, the state-run Bakhtar News Agency said on Sunday Director of the factory Fraidon Zhuman said that the oil processing lab with the support of the relevant officials of the Islamic Emirate at a cost of 500,000 Afghani, has been reconstructed and reactivated in the province, and will produce 6 tons of oil in 24 hours, the agency added. “More than 60 people in three shifts have been provided with employment opportunities and its produced oil will be in accordance with the international criteria,” the agency quoted Zhuman as saying.
