Stanikzai urges world countries to invest in Afghanistan

KABUL: The Deputy Foreign Minister for political affairs Sher Mohammad Abas Stanikzai, in a meeting with Misako Takahashi, the Deputy Special Representative of Japan for Afghanistan, said that the world countries should not wait for formalities and recognition of the Islamic Emirate and they should invest in Afghanistan. Speaking at the meeting, Abas Stanikzai added that Afghanistan has vast natural resources, raw materials, and mines and the world countries should not wait for formalities and official recognition and they must confidently invest in various sectors in Afghanistan, the ministry said in a statement Monday. Considering tangible developments in the field of security and economics in Afghanistan, Takahashi assured continuation of assistance in the fields of health, education, agriculture and irrigation, the statement said.
