Some historical monuments feared to collapse due to recent earthquakes in Ghazni

GHAZNI: Last week’s earthquake has damaged a number of historic monuments and the remaining are at the merge of collapse in Ghazni province, the provincial Directorate of Information and Culture said the other day. Mullah Hamidullah Nisar the provincial Director of Information and Culture said that the earthquake damaged the historical monuments of Mohammad Sharif Khan and two towers in the old city of Ghazni while the historical shrine of Khawaja Malikyar Parndah is at the merge of possible collapse. He added that these historical monuments have previously been damaged due to natural disasters and the report about the issue has earlier been shared with the Ministryof Information and Culture. The provincial Directorate of Information and Culture had shared the list of a number of historical monuments with the Ministry of Information and Culture and expected to be restored in 1402, said the official. Long wars and insecurities have partially damaged some historical monuments in some provinces of the country, but the Islamic Emirate has pledged to restore all of them duly.
