Some 2,000 Afghans return from Iran

After a survey by the ministry, 278 of the returned Afghans were introduced to the International Organization for Migration for receiving assistance, said the statement.

KABUL: Nearly, 2,000 Afghans have recently returned from Iran to the country, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR)  said on its Twitter handle Tuesday. The rough number of1,963 Afghans have returned home via Islam Qala in the country’s western Herat province, said the ministry. After a survey by the ministry, 278 of the returned Afghans were introduced to the International Organization for Migration for receiving assistance, said the statement. According to reports, hundreds of Afghan refugees have also recently been deported from Turkey.
