Social reforms, promotion of goodness and prevention of wrongdoing our priority, ministry

Developing a regulation for addressing the problems of people
with an addiction, monitoring the complaint redress process, and
ensuring access to educational curriculum and the content of the
articles are among the measures taken to strengthen legal documents.

The Ministry of Order to Virtue and Probation from Voice had planned 63 significant activities in the first quarter of the current year, of which (53) activities have been completed in various areas. To support the private sector and traders and engage with them within the framework of Sharia, as well as to expand activities of the morality police (Sharia Police) to the districts of Kabul and identify offenders, the Ministry established checkpoints in various Kabul regions. Considering the decrees, orders, and procedures, the morality police provided advice to the identified offenders. Developing a regulation for addressing the problems of people with an addiction, monitoring the complaint redress process, and ensuring access to educational curriculum and the content of the articles are among the measures taken to strengthen legal documents. Given the need for comprehensive and appropriate solutions to enforce ethics in society and prevent wrongdoings, a draft policy has been presented for the education, care, and rehabilitation of prisoners, as well as the promotion of ethics and the prevention of wrongdoing. Also, to enhance the capacity of morality police and Islamic law enforcers, 15 educational programs have been launched in the provinces of Ghazni, Takhar, Kunduz, Baghlan, Ghor, Badakhshan, Bamyan, Daykundi, and Maidan Wardak, and 1092 morality police attended these learning programs and benefited from their content. In the first three months of the current year, to establish justice and redress the citizens’ complaints, 1463 in-person complaints and 312 phone complaints were registered. Out of this total, 469 cases were composed and categorized, and 158 cases have been resolved, and work on addressing the remaining 444 complaints is underway. In accordance with work notifications, some complaints have also been referred to the relevant entities. Social reform, promotion of goodness, and prevention of wrongdoings are among the prior ities of this Ministry. The morality police visited more than 3500 mosques, educational centres, health facilities, and over 17 thousand recreational parks, baths, wedding halls, and other places. They provided recommendations and delivered messages of righteousness to them. In the first three months of the current year, the Ministry performed the following activities to educate the people and promote goodness among them: • Launching a large-scale campaign • Creating and publishing Islamic articles • Organizing media roundtable discussions • Writing 2000 messages and slogans in many areas of Kabul In this quarter, reports on the activities of the ministry staff at the central and provincial levels were compiled using various journalistic methods and genres. These reports were reflected through the Ministry’s publications and other radio and television. The necessary information was transferred to the requesting entities through conducting interviews, and comprehensive information and public reactions regarding the publications of conspirators and terrorist organizations were presented. Since law enforcement officials, given their scope of work, require more knowledge and skills than any others in society, military personnel of the Ministry visited over 6000 military centres affiliated with the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Interior, and the General Intelligence Directorate, and briefed them about the programs, guidelines, and instructions of the Ministry. In order to ensure the observance of administrative principles and transparency in financial and procurement matters, the Directorates of Order to Virtue and Probation from Voice of the Ministry in the provinces of Takhar, Badakhshan, Kunduz, and Bamyan were also audited. Simultaneously, to access data related to employees, workers, and vehicles in the central and provincial offices, their statistics were standardized and collected.
