Sixteen alleged criminals arrested in some provinces

During a series of counter-crime operations by anti-crime police personnel of the ministry, at least 16 individuals in connection with robbery, murder, carrying illegal weapons and illegal hunting, have been arrested within the past 24 hours in various parts of Kapisa, Nangarhar, Uruzgan, Nuristan, Ghazni and Kandahar provinces, the statement said.

KABUL: At least 16 individuals have been arrested over various crimes within the last day in six provinces of the country, the Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement Tuesday. During a series of countercrime operations by anti-crime police personnel of the ministry, at least 16 individuals in connection with robbery, murder, carry ing illegal weapons and illegal hunting, have been arrested within the past 24 hours in various parts of Kapisa, Nangarhar, Uruzgan, Nuristan, Ghazni and Kandahar provinces, the statement said. According to another report, the anti-terrorism police personnel of the ministry have also discovered and seized dozens of military equipment in Paktia and Uruzgan provinces of the country. The detainees have been taken to the judiciary organs for further investigation into their files, the statement added. Police personnel of the Islamic Emirate are making efforts to crack down on the activity of criminal groups across the country. The Kabul Times
