Significant achievements; humanitarian crisis occurred in 1402

Afghanistan witnessed economic development and humanitarian and natural crises in the year 1402 (Solar Year). Although the international community has not recognized the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, it managed to have significant achievements economically, address the humanitarian crisis arising from the earthquake in the western province of Herat, and resolve returnee’s challenges. In 1402, the Islamic Emirate could launch large and significant projects across the country with less budget generated from domestic revenues. Completing the first phase of the Qush Tepa Canal and reconstruction of the Salang Highway are among the most significant projects initiated and completed in the past year (1402). Attracting investment worth $6.5 billion to seven major mines, expanding trade ties with neighboring countries, preserving the value of Afghani Against foreign exchange rates, preventing dollar smuggling to other countries, and continuing to prevent the use of foreign exchange rates in daily transactions are among other achievements of the Islamic Emirate in 1402. In 1402, Afghanistan experienced a rise in its exports to other countries. According to the information provided by the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office for economic affairs, the export level, over the last year, reached U.S. 717 million, and Afghanistan’s goods were exported to other countries, including Iran, Pakistan, India, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, UAE, Saudi Arabia, China, Kazakhstan, and America. As for the political achievements in 1402, Afghanistan managed to have sound and regular political ties with other countries, including neighbors, which led the countries to hand over the Afghan embassies to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. The Afghan embassies and consoles in other countries started providing services for Afghan immigrants, which can be an outstanding achievement in terms of politics. In addition, several meetings and conferences about Afghanistan were held in 1402 in other countries. The EU- central Asia Union meeting in Kazakhstan, the Oslo Summit in Norway, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit hosted by India, the Astana Meeting in Kazakhstan, the Samarkand Meeting in Uzbekistan, the Moscow Format Meeting in Kazan, and the Herat Security Meeting in Tajikistan were among meetings that were held regarding Afghanistan. In addition, some figures from the previous government, or the so-called tribal leaders, initiated gatherings in other countries where they discussed issues regarding Afghanistan. It comes as they did nothing for the nation during their 20-year presence in Afghanistan; apart from land usurpation, embezzlement, taking bribes, and running their trade and business, they did nothing for the nation. These treacherous figures still do not want the Afghan people to live in peace and for Afghanistan to move toward progress and development. The first Doha meeting on the situation in Afghanistan was held on the twentieth of Qaws month. In this two-day conference, discussions were held on important issues including. As for the humanitarian crises in 1402, it is noteworthy that, on the one hand, Pakistan initiated the forced expulsion of refugees who had been living there for many years. On the other hand, a deadly earthquake occurred in Herat that incurred lives and financial losses to our nation. According to the information provided by the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriates, 1.5 million refugees were repatriated to the country in 1402. On the other hand, the earthquake in Herat in the year 1402 was one of the deadliest natural disasters in the country. The earthquake claimed the lives of over a thousand people and injured nearly two thousand others, the majority of whom were women and children. Thousands of homes in several districts of this province were destroyed. The Islamic Emirate also made an effort to assist the affected individuals and fulfill their needs. The refugees have been expelled from Pakistan while their assets and properties remained where they were living. The expulsion of Afghan refugees sparked regional and global critiques and objections, and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan showed anger over the one-sided decision made by the neighboring country and repeatedly urged the neighbors to stop the expulsion of Afghan refugees from their countries. However, they kept continuing with their decision and implemented whatever they wanted. Besides, Iran also expelled 400 thousand Afghan refugees from the country, and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan could manage this humanitarian crisis and address the returnees’ challenges. In 1402, international organizations several times warned of a deteriorated humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan and stated their assistance would be decreased, and millions of Afghans faced hunger and poverty. However, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan stated that international organizations exaggerate in their report concerning Afghanistan. Although the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has not been recognized by the International community and the global powers, it could initiate major and significant economic projects with low budgets generated from the domestic revenues, ensured countrywide security and hasn’t led the country to use Afghanistan’s soil as a Launchpad to other nations. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan arose from the heart of the Afghan nation and has been making an effort to propel Afghanistan toward development and progress, making the country powerful and developed in the region.
