Several school buildings to be restored in Kabul, ministry

KABUL: Restoration work on several school buildings worth 14.6 million Afghani (some 202,773 U.S. dollars) has been kicked off in the capital Kabul, the Ministry of Education said in a statement the other day. To provide better learning environments for students, the construction of retaining and perimeter walls, sanitation facilities, the extension of the water system, and other necessary amenities have been started at Dariya Noor, Asif Mayel, Shaheed Yousuf, and Reshkhor primary schools, the statement said. The restoration budget will be funded by an educational support organization. The leadership of the Ministry of Education expressed heartfelt gratitude for the continued support from donor organizations and the unwavering commitment of the citizens towards enhancing the country’s educational system.
