KABUL: President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, in a meeting discussed the ongoing security situation with the south-western zone officials, the Presidential Press Office said Sunday.
In a meeting held at the Ministry of Defense compound, the president discussed the security issues of the western zone with Herat, Ghoor, Badghis and Nimruz provinces, the president office said in a statement received by The Kabul Times.
During the meeting the civil and military officials shared their reports about the current situation of the country’s south western zone, with the president and then the president instructed the security and defense forces about defending the people and the repulsion of the enemy, said the statement.
