The two-day meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, discussed security and regional cooperation, as key parts of the agenda.
Foreign ministers of China, India, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan who attended the meeting, provided details about the importance of regional and global issues, ensuring security and stability in the region, mutual investment and trade plans.
Afghanistan was also one of the topics detailed in the ministerial meeting of foreign affairs and also the member states of the Shanghai Organization.
Foreign Minister of Pakistan met with Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Foreign Minister of the country discussing more trade and economic cooperation.
The Foreign Minister of Pakistan emphasized on his country’s commitments regarding regional relations and public facilities projects, including the TAPI project, CASA-1000 and added that Pakistan has taken steps to support bilateral interactions with Afghanistan and facilitate international humanitarian aid.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), with the massive capacities and opportunities of bilateral cooperation, can promise a bright future for the nations of the region through cooperation and thinking with each other.

He has held several meetings with Afghanistan’s neighboring countries, and that they were taking some steps forward for a better Afghanistan.

Russia, China, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are five main participants of this organization. Uzbekistan in 2001, it officially became the sixth member of this organization. Its charter was approved by member governments in 2002 in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
The main purposes of establishing the Shanghai Cooperation Organization are mutual trust between the member states, effective cooperation, regional peace, stability and security, and bringing about a new economic and political system in the world.
