Scores of foreign tourists visit historical sites of Ghor

FEROZKOH: At least 11 Chinese and Italian tourists have visited recreational and historical sites of the country’s western province of Ghor, the provincial Information and Culture Directorate said in a statement Tuesday. The Director of the provincial Information and Culture Department Mawlavi Mohammad Hammas said that after the resumption of power by the IEA and ensuring countrywide sure security, the number of foreign and domestic tourists visiting the historical sites and natural attrac tions of the province have been increased, as dozens of Chinese and Italian tourists have recently visited the historical sites and places of the province, according to the statement. “The foreign tourists are treated as a guest and will be provided with any necessary touristic facilities by the provincial officials of the Information and Culture Directorate and the local people in the province, as well as they will play a key role in bringing the countries’ cultures and relations closer to each other,” the statement quoted Hammas as saying. Meanwhile, the Chinese and Italian tourists said that after the takeover of Afghanistan by the IEA and ensuring countrywide security, they came here and will visit all historical sites and places of the country, particularly, historical sites of Ghor province, the statement added. Sure security and touristic facilities have caused increasing number of tourists visiting the country’s historical and recreational sites and natural attractions this year. The Kabul Times
