KABUL: A total of 60 Afghan refugees, including 10 children, earlier prisoned by Pakistani officials, have recently been released in Sindh state of the neighboring country, the state-run Bakhtar News Agency reported Wednesday. As a result of the efforts of the Embassy of Afghanistan in Islamabad and the Consulate General of the country in Karachi, 60 Afghans have been released from the Sindh prison of that country, the agency said. Recently over two thousand Afghan prisoners have been released from different prisons of Pakistan which were prisoned on charge of not having legal documents and returned to their country so far. Earlier, Iran handed over some Afghan prisoners to the Islamic Emirate at the request of the Afghan government. The Kabul Times
