School building to be constructed in Ghazni

KABUL: Construction work on a school building worth 12 million Afghani (some 169,531 U.S. dollars) has been kicked off in the country’s central province of Ghazni, the Ministry of Education said in a statement Saturday. The school building with financial support from a charity foundation, will be constructed in Khaja Khel village of the Khogyani district of the prov ince, the statement said, adding that the school will be equipped with solar electricity and will consist of six classrooms, providing a conducive learning environment for hundreds of students. Meanwhile, officials of the provincial education department said that with the completion of the school building education ground would be provided for hundreds of students. At the same time, a local resident expressed gratitude over the beginning of the construction work on the education facility and asked the leadership of the Islamic Emirate to pay necessary attention to the implementation of the development projects in various fields in Ghazni province.
