KABUL: Zamir Kabulov, special representative of the Russian president for Afghanistan, has said that Russia does not want Ukraine to get access hundreds of Afghan military helicopters and planes that were evacuated to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan last year.
In an interview with a Russian media outlet, Kabulov has said that it was important for them that those helicopters and planes that had ended up on the territory of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, when Afghan military servicemen fled and overtook several dozen helicopters and planes, did not get to Ukraine.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) particularly the ministry of defense has repeatedly asked the two countries to return the Afghan military aircraft. It is said that nearly 100 helicopters and aircrafts of Afghanistan were evacuated to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan during mid-August last year.
