Road crash leaves 4 dead, 10 injured in Samangan

AYBAK: At least four commuters have died and 10 oth ers wounded in a road crash in the country’s northern province of Samangan, the provincial police office said in a statement Tuesday. The deadly accident occurred, when a Prado-type vehicle rolled off a ramp in Alawabarin area outside Aybak, the provincial capital of Samangan province, late on Monday, killing four commuters including two women and injuring ten others, the statement said. The wounded, some in critical condition, have been taken to the nearby health center, according to the statement. Traffic incidents have recently increased due to reckless driving, poorly built roads and drivers not adhering to traffic rules in Afghanistan as a few days ago, nine people have been killed and 31 others injured in a similar accident in the country’s southern Zabul province.
