Road crash claims 21 lives, wounds 11 in Helmand

LASHKARGAH: As a result of a traffic accident 21 people have been martyred and 38 others injured in the country’s southern province of Helmand, local officials confirmed. Local officials said that the accident took place in the Yakhchal area of Gerishk district when a 580-type passenger bus and an oil tanker crashed and resulting in the martyring of 21 people and wounding of 38 others, according to the statement. The death toll increased due to a fire catching the oil tanker. The main causes behind traffic accidents are the recklessness of the drivers, fast driving, and narrow roads. The Kabul Times
