“One Nation and One Curriculum”
KABUL: The Ministry of Higher Education held a review seminar for the faculty of journalism that ended late on Thursday.
The seminar was attended by a number of representatives from the public and private universities and relevant organs officials.
The seminar was held to revise the country’s journalism faculty curriculums in order the students to be educated in Islamic thought and after a long discussion the needed curriculums in accordance with Islamic sharia and international standards were approved by majority votes and ordered to be taught in all public and private universities.
“The scientific seminar was very constructive and important to our academic society and no country will advance without education and we must work day and night to develop a new curriculum that addresses the country’s education needs,” Abdul Rauf Farahi chief of the academic curriculum said.
In the seminar, the lectures have been divided in three parts; journalism, public relations and studies and communications and the chief of each cluster represented their reports to the participants.
Recently, the ministry of higher education has conducted a program titled “One Nation and One Curriculum” to review the universities’ curriculum countrywide.
