This is the first Eid-ul-Fitr one of the biggest religious festivals, the Afghan Muslim nation celebrates, after the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate in the country.
There are two great Islamic holidays; Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha, which are marked by Muslims worldwide.
The religious holiday marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of the Ramadan, which falls on the first day of Shawwal in accordance with the lunar calendar.
The great festival has its own political aspect besides suggesting important religious teachings for the whole Islamic nations and those observing the holy fasting month.
During the three days of Eid, Muslims have to reconcile and restore friendship and brotherhood if they are upset with each other.
This is the main aims of the two great religious festivals that no Muslim individual should remain upset, as it will turn into a permanent enmity, an act which is unlawful in the holy religion.
This would also lead to a full and strong unity among Muslims and their unbreakable stand against those planning to discords among them.
As seen, there are many people from both previous government officials and the incumbent Islamic Emirate members who are not still ready to welcome each other, in spite of enduring the month-long fasting days and [now] celebrating the holy religious festival. The act is against Islamic teachings.
Afghanistan is now at a critical juncture in its history, emerging from decades of imposed war. It is in critical need of the people support to the newly established Islamic Emirate, which is the key to help the Islamic system be recognized worldwide.
A wide-ranging and national legitimacy could be restored, when the whole nation apart from being linked to the past government or being members of the Islamic Emirate, avoid all differences and misunderstandings and gather around their only Islamic system.
Millions of Afghans are now suffering hardship of lives in migrations, abroad, where, they observed fast during the holy month and most of them are now celebrating Eid, far from their families and loved ones.
So, the arm of the Islamic Emirate is open for any Afghan returning home. Any Afghans who have left the country, following the recent immediate political changes, can avail the opportunity to return home, join hands with each other and take part in the reconstruction of their country.
There is no doubt that the IEA is committed to its declared general amnesty and never allows revenge-taking of some unwanted elements to undermine trust between the people and the system.
A united nation can do everything for its government and homeland and can undeniably help them reach the highest level of development. While, the country is facing harsh conditions from enmity and hostile acts of some certain world countries, we just need unity among the people of different strata, including politicians, civil society activists, journalists, scholars, and youths to foil any of their conspiracies.
Let’s avoid leaving the country and seek no refuge in foreign countries anymore. Let’s build trust, return home and celebrate all Eids and other national and traditional festivals in our homeland and let’s join hand to work for the development of our country.
